The Rocky Mountain Triathlon Club meets twice a week during the winter and three times a week during the warmer months. Club sanctioned workouts work as follows:
-
Run (Tuesdays 5:45 pm)

Every Tuesday at 5:45 pm the club gets together for a fartlek (speed workout) meet. The details of these workouts are posted in advance on the members only area of this website. These workouts are put together and run by one of our professional club coaches. In the summer we use the South High School track, in the winter months we run in Washington Park (see workout locations for more details). These workouts are tailored to all levels of athlete, with a beginner, intermediate and advanced level to each workout. All costs for these workouts are included in the yearly club membership fee.
-
Swim (Thursdays 6:30 pm)
Every Thursday at 6:30 pm the club meets at the Rude Recreation Center for a swim meet. The details of these workouts are posted in advance on the members only area of this website. These workouts are put together and run by one of our professional club coaches (see workout locations for more details). These workouts are tailored to all levels of athlete, with a beginner, intermediate and advanced level to each workout. Coaching costs for these workouts are included in the yearly club membership fee, however swimmers need to be members of the Denver Recreation Centers (http://www.denvergov.org/recreation) in order to get in to and use the rec center facilities. Denver Rec Center fees and membership are not included in club membership dues, but are very reasonable.
-
Bike / Brick (Saturdays during the warmer months)
On Saturdays during the warmer months the club usually meets for a bike ride or brick workout. A brick is usually a swim followed by a bike ride, or a bike ride followed by a run. These workouts usually begin early in the morning to avoid the afternoon heat. Locations for weekend workouts differ, and are usually posted in advance on the members only area of this website. All costs for these workouts are included in the yearly club membership fee, but members do need to provide their own equipment (i.e. bike, swim gear etc...). Some workout locations may require entry fees to be paid (for example Chatfield State Park), these entry fees are not included in club membership dues.
