2012 Moab Training Trip
Back by popular demand, RMTC will be invading Moab for a training weekend on April 19-22 (Thursday - Sunday). We will have organized swims, rides and runs on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in and around Moab.
TRAINING INFO
A detailed weekend schedule will be distributed closer to the date but below is a brief summary:
Thursday - Colorado Monument ride (36 miles) on the way to Moab
Friday - morning swim followed by a ride through Arches National park (45-55 miles) and an optional brick run
Saturday - long ride through Canyonlands National park (40-104 miles) and an optional brick run --- Group dinner at Moab Brewery!
Sunday - flat, fast ride on Potash Rd (35 miles) or a long run
The first 3 rides above are challenging with a bit of climbing but we will break into smaller groups of similar riding abilities so you can ride as long or hard as you like.
Please note that we will be SWIMMING this year! We have reserved the entire Moab indoor pool on Friday morning and may even have a diving or slide competition! We are also trying to secure a location to hold at least one yoga class during the weekend.

MASSAGES
We are looking into having a massage therapist join us for the weekend. More details to follow if we have enough interest.
WHO CAN ATTEND?
Your friends and family are welcome to join you in Moab for the weekend (including the Saturday night dinner) but the scheduled training sessions are for members only due to liability issues in case of an accident. All of our members are covered through RMTC by the USAT insurance but non-members are not. We also feel that participating in these training sessions is a privilege that comes with being a member of RMTC.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU!

with the following:
- Book your hotel room or make camping arrangements
- Email Michelle to confirm that you have booked your room or are camping
- Confirm how many people are in your room/tent and will be joining us for dinner
- Let Michelle know if you 'd be interested in a massage
Again, thank you to those that RSVPed previously as it helps with planning the number of rooms and dinner. Due to the large number of participants and new members joining in the next couple of months, we will continue sending all Moab emails to the entire club.

Unfortunately, we understand this date will not work everyone but hopefully it does work for the majority. For those unable to attend this weekend we will post training plans and routes on the RMTC website in case you want to plan a separate trip.
